3d with low lag

I have been looking for months to find something to replace my RPTV. I have bought a house with a dedicated media room and a projector was a part of the plan when I made the purchase. Since then, I haven't found a lower end (<$3k) 1080p projector that offers decent 3d performance, as well as low gaming lag. Does anyone know of a model that I've been missing?

The best contenders seem to be the Benq W7000 and the more expensive Sony VPL-HW30ES. I am still not sold on these, and I have nowhere within hundreds of miles to demo them.

Also, are there any other models that have had recent firmware releases that make them less laggy? I would like no more than 50ms lag, but around 30ms would be even better.

Finally, has anyone heard of anything new coming out this year that I should potentially wait on?

Wouldn't the HD33 and W7010 fit the bill?

I would love the hd33 at the usual prices, but I have read in the past that the lag was pretty bad. I wasn't aware of the w7010, so I will look into it. Thanks for the reply.

CES is days away.

For 3d and gaming the GT750 Link here is hard to beat. It's not going to have JVC 3k type projector contrast but lag is almost none.

I appreciate the reply, but please re-read my requirements. My use is about 50% movies (1080p), 50% gaming. CES is the reason I posted the thing about what new models might be out there.

Can rule out the current Epson 3010/20, 5010/20 etc more lag then your after.

The Optoma HD33 has tested at 30ms against a LCD laptop in 2D not sure what it is in 3D but assume goes up, Acer H9500BD around that same 30ms in 2D and when outputting 3D that raises to at least double, will be noticed in competitve multiplayer not so noticed in single player games. The Benq W7000 from memory was slightly worse then the HD33 and H9500BD in 2D by maybe 5ms, But in real world playing they are all in the same area. Spending more will not net better lag times, the higher priced projectors usually have more going on making lag more pronounced.
