I am currently OS at a relos place and need a common garden variety component switcher for a TV with not enough component inputs. The only problem is over here the parts locally are ridiculously expensive - if you can find them. I will not be here long enough to bother to get one sent over from the US.
Then I hand a thought...
What if I used 2 relatively cheap composite switchers (can get them here). One for the component video and the other for audio. Its a bit messy as you would have to switch 2 switches each time but it should work by using - video, L & R audio as say Y, Pb, & Pr on one switch box and the other switch box just for audio.
Has anyone tried this?
Could some kind soul try it out? Only need to try the component side as the audio is un changed.
I do not want to buy the switch boxes here only to find it does not work.
Thanks.
