Hello. i currentlyhave a very large room .i waould call it 25 wide and 40 long with a peaked ceiling at 24+ft . the room is like an aframe cabine you might see in the mountains. I have 2 velodyne sc15 with the velodyne amp. The bass is there just not the punch since i cant comperess the room. Its only noticicable playing action movies and stuff like that.I was thinking of a jl audio 13inch fathom.
are there concerns adding subs of diferent types? Are there pitfalls by adding to many subs? With th room so larger i dont think i ill ever get the sound i had in the 12 X20 i had before but i would like more.
Please give me some ides. I read some very inteligent folks here and enjoy hearing you opiniions.
Thanks
Rod

What are the reasons you want to go with the JL Fathom? Size? Aesthetics? If neither of those are requirements, you should consider less expensive, but more capable subs for that size room from the likes of Seaton, JTR or Funky Waves. If you are willing to build it yourself and size does not matter, you can build a monster subs for a few hundred.

As you already know, you have a HUGE room that even adding the JL may not be able to pressurize. I don't think a single commercially available sub can manage to pressurize that room properly.
