Sunfire SDS-10 worth buying?

Do you have some sort of space constraint or something that requires you to have such a small footprint? You can do better if size isn't a restriction.

I owned the bigger Sunfire SDS-12 for about a week and a half. It was a good sub, but, according to sound&vision it didn't hit the ultra low notes with much authority and I'd tend to agree. I returned it and went with an SVS SB12-NSD. For my room size at least and my ears, it was a significant upgrade in terms of both power and sound quality across the board for not much more money. SVS does have some European dealers and a new line of 10" driver subs that should be in the price range with the SDS-10. Might be worthy of consideration, though, I don't know about the voltage differences and availability.

if you are comfortable with diy, you can build a lilmike cinema f20 in that price range which would decimate anything you have looked at so far. It's much larger though.
