Hi

Hoping to get some help from folks on this forum. I just bought a house that has a Sony vph-d50ht in it. I'm replacing it with a dlp projector. Should I expect to be able to sell the Sony for any decent sum? It seems to be in working condition but I only did a cursory check. I was going to list it in Craigslist not sure what it might be worth. Any insight is appreciated. Btw I'm in Seattle area if anyone is interested. Thanks.

its worth maybe a hundred-fifty bucks with the remote and ceiling mounting bracket. At this point, Most people are giving away machines of this caliber.

100-250 seems reasonable. If you invite a a few people down at the same time to look at it, you are more likely to get a reasonable price you want due to the increased competition. Be sure to have several facts on hand - how many hours are on it, does it throw a good picture, what kind of burn in does it show, what extras does it come with, etc. Doing some homework on these topics helps.

Craigslist and VideoGon are probably your best bet. Ebay is a no go. Even though demand is low, CRTs have many pluses compared to regular DLP and LCD projectors. Marketing it on these strengths will make it more attractive to a potential buyer.
