My first post but looking to gain some advice and learn from those who have 'been there done that'.
Well christmas has just gone and being in the spending spirit I have invested in a new Xbox 360 and a Sony BDV-E290 5.1 system. What I am aiming for is gaining decent sound quality to enjoy TV, films, games and music (wirelessly) in the sittijg room.
Room size is approx 12" * 13".
Yet to plum in the speakers but plan is so far:
Optical cables from xbox and sky+ hd box via optical switch into the back of the blu ray player/ sony box. HDMI from each box (xbox and sky box via a splitter/ autonswitch) into hdmi 1 port of TV, blu ray player into hdmi 2 in TV (only have two inputs on teli)
Speakers are to be wall mounted into each corner of the room (does it matter about height?) and sub to be beside sofa out of view. Then looking to sort a music/ file server out wirepessly to stream content.
All boxes are being hard cabled into the broadband router.
Any suggestions or problems I may get frok this set up or advise?
First install and very excited! The auto switch for hdmi alreafy tested and works a treat!
