How many watts are you planning to put on it and what amp are you going to use?
While not nearly as cool looking, a single 18" LMS Ultra 5400 has pretty equivalent performance in the same volume enclosure and has less cost sunk in drivers.
I would honestly go with the epic over the lms-r. You could almost get six for the price of three lms-r drivers and build a pair or build a scaled up version of the paradigm F2. The epic will play higher if you need it to and two epics are better than one lms-r. The lms-r was a great deal before the big price hike in 2011.
