I have a five day old Vizio M470SL 47" TV with it's optical output connect to the optical input on the Samsung BD-1250 5.1 HTiB (latest firmware).
When trying to feed (optical digital) audio from the TV to the Samsung, all I get from the Samsung's speakers is a very very low whisper of an audio signal.
(otherwise both TV and HTIB work fine on their own, and HDMI from HTIB to TV works great)
(Vizio TV get it's feed from a satellite dish, using coaxial cable from Dish to TV).
I've tried switching the TV's optical output feed between PCM & Dolby Digital settings
Switched TV back and forth between variable & fixed audio output (assuming fixed is the correct setting).
Check optical cable connections.
I put the Samsung on Digital optical input.
So the signal is getting thru, but it's only a whisper.
Any ideas on what else I can try to fix this problem?
