New Construction - Adding Theater - I want absolutely no sound to emanate - Thoughts?

My wife hates loud things and is, I think, overly sensitive to volume. Problem is, I happen to like it loud. I am planning a large addition to our home and as part of it, I want to create a home theater/listening room (approximately 24x30x10) so that I can go in, shut the door, and listen as loudly as I want with no one outside of the theater knowing anything is going on inside. No subtle rumble of bass, nothing.

I am starting with a largely clean slate. I guess the first, and perhaps, simple question is whether I can achieve complete sound isolation with an attached home theater (i.e. a bedroom on the other side of the wall), and if so, whether it is worth the additional cost as opposed to just building a separate structure entirely which I imagine would be much simpler to achieve my goals. I would certainly prefer that it be attached, but I could certainly make it work to have the first-floor garage/second-floor theater to be a separate structure if it were ludicrously expensive to achieve my goals in an attached scenario.

Thanks in advance for your input

I am obviously no architect and crudely drew the approximate foundation location of the addition. It is 2 stories and I was planning on having the theater on the second floor on the end with garage space underneath pictured in red.

Keep it attached and get a few pair of ear plugs.
Do you really want to go outside to another structure to listen to music or watch a movie?

Idunno... you can spend megabucks on isolation or you can spend megabucks building a completely separate building. Even the separate building will still likely not be able to contain the WUB WUB WUB of the subwoofers.

Even with a standalone structure, you will still need sound isolation to get the interior noise floor under 22dBA
