Windows Media Center - TV sort options

I'm relatively new to WMC but experienced in IT in general. I have a dedicated Windows 7 Pro x64 WMC box using a Ceton card and it's primary purpose is to save me the monthly DVR cost. I switched from DirecTV to cable(Comcast) and WMC but I really miss how DirecTv sorted their shows in the DVR.

WMC offers me the option to sort by date recorded or by title but I really want to sort by the date recorded grouped on the title. Does anyone know how I can do that or something similar to how DirecTV DVR's sort the shows?

I basically want the exact opposite of how it does it now. If there was a way to sort by title but then list the titles by the most recent recorded shows rather than alphabetical that would be exactly what I'm looking for. This makes new shows float to the top. Another thing that I would like to do is group shows into folders, I probably record 6 or 7 series for my kid and rather than seeing them all listed it would be nice to have them all put neatly into a folder.
