has anyone experienced a popping noise in their speakers when using their 80.3 watching tv or dvd? its really annoying to me ive tried to eliminate any grounding issues but to no avail. i think its a problem in the 80.3 itself the noise occurs when surround formats change. any sollutions? thanks

I've installed roughly 10 of these and never experienced the problem you're describing..... until today. It seems to happen anytime the outputs are muted, as would be the case when changing sources, surround modes, or muting. Firmware is up to date, amp is plugged into the same dedicated circuit. Using unbalanced cables due to space concerns (no room to plug in XLRs, even had to use 90deg adapters for the RCAs).

Integra is closed for MLK holiday. Customer will be rather upset when one of these pops blows his head off, I would expect.

just received my replacement integra dhc 80.3. the new unit is making the same popping noises in my speakers. i hear it anytime i hit the display button on the remote,changing channels on my directv hr24 receiver or when watching tv and the 80.3 switches between a 2 channel source and a 5 channel source. I called integra customer service and they were no help. they told me the 80.3 wasnt designed to work with multiple amps but only with one multi channel amp. im using one 3 channel amp for front and two 2 channel amps for surround.if you or anybody you know fiinds a cause or sollution please post
