TC Sounds Epic 12 driver questions

I have a few question about the TC Sounds Epic 12

1) Does the TC Sound Epic 12 have any inductance control measures in place? TC's spec sheet has parameters for a 3 element Le model. They suggest a response moderately affected by inductance. I realize it's not a lot of dB in the 10 to 100Hz range, is it accurate or not?

2) What is the right xmax to use when modeling the Epic 12? The spec sheet says geometric number is 18.1mm, but the 70% BL number is 22.9mm. Do you really want to push the voice coil out of the gap?

in an overhung design the coil is out of the gap to start.

by geometric, they might simply mean:

(height of the coil - height of the gap) / 2

the 10% distortion point / 70% bl point / etc. tends to be closer to:

(height of the coil - height of the gap) / 2 + (a * height of the gap)

where a is between 25% and 33%.

not sure about shorting rings in that driver.

Thanks, so the 22.9mm number is a safe xmax to use?
