Most likely will diy for any future upgrades. Although the epic legends for 400$ looked promising but I missed out on the deal.

DIY servo amp using Infinity IRS woofer, my own custom design and electronics, amp was a bridged Hafler, ca. 1980.
Rythmik F12 (pair), ca. 2010.

A Mirage and Infinity sub passed through as backups and in other systems still around the house, and numerous ones were put in for a trial when I was working in the biz, but my primary system path was short and sweet.

Paradigm PS-1000
Mirage BPS 400
M&K MX-125 MKII

I wish I could have kept the BPS-400, as that beast moved a lot of air and out performed the M&K MX-125. Unfortunately, I had to get rid because the auto on/off kept toggling during movies, and sub would always turn on too late with a pop sound and turn off too early.

I made a similar thread last month...

Guess it was too long winded or something.

1. BIC 12" (don't remember the model)
2. Klipsch KSW12 x2 with HSU TN1220HO with 500W Amp. I then moved to a home without a dedicated theater, so I sold them. I wish I didn't sell the TN1220HO though.
3. HSU VTF2.3 with a stereo receiver.
4. Klipsch SW310
5. SVS SB12NSD (current in family room)
6. Rythmik FV15HP (550W) (current in a dedicated theater room). Hope it stops here.

  1. B&W ASW610
  2. B&W ASW610 (added second sub)
  3. SVS PC12-NSD
  4. SVS PC12-NSD (added second sub)
  5. Seaton Submersive F2 (x2)

I would never go back to using just one sub - the benefits of two are so worthwhile in my room and IMO. Now I have the dual Submersives, I believe my sub journey has ended.

ACI Force
Paradigm DSP 3400
Pair of Epiks Legends
CHT CS-18.2

In my current set up I am using the CHT and the Legends (mostly for modal smoothing).

Another dual 18" based on new SI HT drivers is in design stage.

Paradigm powered 15" sub (forget model)

2 JTR Captivators (currently for sale)

2 CHT SS 18.2 on order

Future: 2 more CHT SS18.2's

No offense but if I had seen that thread I probably would not have responded. You were asking way too much of anyone who was going to post in it. People want to type what they want and go.

Went from a Logitech Z-5500 PC speaker-in-a-box to a SVS PC12_NSD...slight upgrade biggrin.gif

That is quite an upgrade.

The trend I am noticing is that we never go smaller woofer/cabinets:D

That statement is very true! Just like in the auto world, there is NO replacement for displacement. biggrin.gif
