Both the Super Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Edition feature four Slowhand session outtakes (three of them previously unreleased) "Looking At The Rain," "Alberta," "Greyhound Bus" and "Stars, Strays And Ashtrays."

A week before the Slowhand sessions commenced, the band performed at London's Hammersmith Odeon. The Super Deluxe Edition captures the complete 14 track Hammersmith Odeon, April 27, 1977 concert on two CDs. Songs featured at the Hammersmith Odeon show include "Tell The Truth," "Knocking On Heaven's Door," "Can't Find My Way Home," "Stormy Monday," "Badge," "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Layla."

Thanks for posting the link to Amazon.ca smile.gif! The price is amazing and I wonder if the order will get filled as the price is so low eek.gif. There is a $10.44 shipping charge (to the US) on top of the $26.99 cost of the box set. But even then the total cost is $36.68 which as you noted earlier is about a third of the normal cost. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed wink.gif.

De nada. I placed an order myself and got notice that it had been shipped. Would have expected for you to already have the SACD, which I don't have; however, I do have the 461 Ocean Boulevard SACD and it is a fine one.

I do have the SACD but thought the Amazon.ca deal was to good to pass up. I just got notice that my order has shipped as well smile.gif. I see the price is back up to $80.

My Slowhand boxset arrived today. I can't believe I ordered it on Tuesday and it arrived today eek.gif! The packaging was solid and the box looks to be in fine shape. I wish I had ordered two of them to keep one sealed, but I'll enjoy this one just fine. This deal is similar to the deal Best Buy had last year on the Tom Petty "Live Anthology: Ultimate Collector's Edition" boxset. Thanks again Nil for posting this deal smile.gif.

Lucky you. I think that I ordered this before you but it may just take longer to reach the west coast. I hope. How does it sound in comparison to the SACD? Is it the same 5.1 mix?

I hope your order arrives safely. I have yet to open my boxset. From what I have read the DVD and the SACD have the same 5.1 mix.

It arrived, and it is a magnificent box set full of glossy inserts and multiple discs. It surprised me as I didn't think this to be that much of a rock classic to deserve this level of treatment, but I am not complaining. I haven't played any of the discs as yet, but I have the DVD pulled out of its pocket and ready to go the first chance that I get.
