Sony KDL60EX645 won't turn on

HI,

Just got a KDL60EX645 over the holidays and it was working fine for the first few days. Today it just turned off by itself, and now will not turn back on.

I have made sure it's plugged in to an outlet that has power. I've changed the batteries in the remote. When I press the on button on the remote nothing happens. I see no lights (red or green) on the unit.

What could be wrong on a brand new TV?

Just take it back to where you bought it and have them exchange it.

Well it doesn't really matter I guess. Thought there may be an easier solution that I hadn't tried... packing up the TV and bringing back to the store will be a big PITA.

Sounds exactly like what happened to my EX500 after about 8 months of ownership. Try unplugging it from the wall for a minute or so and then powering it on with both remote and button on TV. Sony sent someone out who replaced the power supply board. It took about 2 weeks.
