Connecting two different IR systems

This goes to my basement where I have a Xantech connecting block.

Can I plug a 3.5 into the emitter port on the wall-plate and into the receiver port for the Xantech? I didn't want to try it in case it might blow it up. I know the Xantech runs on a 12v but 3.5v and 5v are also common for IR. I can't seem to find the output specs for the wall-plate. Possible to hard-wire to the Xantech and just not the power line?

Glad I bought a few extra receivers. I was pulling my hair out with the IR when the signal worked with mono price receiver / emitters but not plugged into the connecting block.
