I don't like to blast anything very loud.
I'm coming to realize a sub is something I probably don't want to go cheap on, so perhaps I should wait to save more so I can afford a more expensive sub. But I'm unsure if a sub like PSW505 is better suited for a larger space, as 14X14 is not that big.
My room is very similar. 14wx13dx9h and can be sealed off.
I have a Def Tech SuperCube 8000 (yes it's overpriced) that I like quite bit. It has decent output to 20hz (according to sound and vision). In my room corner loaded it I can hit over 110db pretty easy(unk frequency) at the LP 10-11 ft from the sub.
But there are times I would like more output. I don't think you'd be happy with a $150 sub in that room, I know I wouldn't.
The other thing is you need a sub that can play and sound good beyond 150hz which is where the micros need to be crossed over at. I would look to spend a little more on the sub for sure.
