Anyone ever try the Quad-THT Coffee Table?

In my searching for a way to blend in a TH in my awkwardly open 12k cu ft living room, I came across this: http://davidproberts.com/2011/01/24/quad-tht-woofer/

Just wondered if something like that would work well, and could fill that amount of space? I've searched to no avail, but has anyone tried something like this?

I'm not so sure that design would work. Doesn't look right at all to me.

It would be a WHOLE lot less trouble just to build a table with multiple drivers in either a sealed or vented alignment.

It came to him in a dream? More like a nightmare. Nothing about that design makes any sense, while using the name Table Tuba is copyright infringement.

Plus, anything in the center of the room is typically the worst possible place for sub placement.
Not to mention that 4 of them together would be a massive table!
