I am in the market for a "new" reciever and decided to look at what value I could get out of older models.
I just want something with nice beefy amps and can handle DTS-MA. I don't care about multizones, 3D/HDMI 1.4, Rhapsody/Pandora/Spotify etc support. Basically something that is rock solid without the bells and whistles.
This has led me to the Denon 4308 which can be had used in the $700 range. I am almost certain to go this route, but I was wondering if there would be anything else as good or better in the same range, say $600-$800.
Haven't decided on the speakers yet, but leaning towards Sho-10, though that is still way up in the air.
Also, this will be used for 95% Movies/TV via Fios and my HTPC (Blu Ray rips)
