Will the Sony PJ580 PAL 50hz work in the USA and Philippines (NTSC)

I am in hongkong right now and i need your help. The sellers here say that the sony PJ580 PAL would work in usa and philippines even if it is PAL 50hz since I am going to use HDMI.

I think ive read somewhere though that they had problems with the 50z of the sony pal camcorder so i need to get the NTSC version. I. Originally wanted the panasonic x900 but it is nowhere to be found in hong kong (broadway, fortrzs, suntek, etc)

Why would not it work? But watching 50 Hz stuff on U.S.-spec TVs, BDs and DVD players can be problematic. That is, impossible on most older devices, possible on many new devices in "file" mode (watching AVI or MKV file) but not from a properly authored DVD or BD. If all you care is YouTube distribution then you will have no problems.

I care about video editing, watching the videos in my friend and relative's home, etc. Will i be able to combine a pal 50p and ntsc 60p in adobe premiere ?
