Headphone amp question

I am looking for the best headphone amp to put between my PSX to my Grado SR125i. Is Grados amp ( http://www.gradolabs.com/page_headphones.php?item=7882e729321fad6256d8d77c0629dbb4 ) worth the price? I have around a $400 budget.

The Grado amp is one of the most overpriced pieces of gear I've ever seen. Google an image of the RA1 with the top removed. I love Grado cans, but that amp eek.gif

There are many less expensive products out there that will perform much better. Head over to head-fi.com for a lot of info.

That said, the Grados are very efficient and many not benefit much if at all from an amp.
