How important are Watts per channel when buying a receiver?

I have Energy RC-70 fronts. Will a 90W Yamaha like RXV773 be fine? Or will paying more for a 130W Onkyo be worth it? I'm not sure I need all the extra features in the higher end models, but I don't want my receiver to under-power my speakers.

Any help on this?
