My bad. I was confusing MW4 with COD4(MW1).

I'm just starting to have fun with BLOPS2, so I can wait on the MW4 news.

Rumor is April 30th for the reveal trailer of the next COD game.

If this was a bet. I would put my money on the reveal trailer for the next COD premiering right before the NBA finals start. With more gameplay & information then gets shown about the game during COD's own stagetime at E3. This is the way it has been for every COD game going back to COD4.

NBA finals are usually the first week in June.

Rumor is based on the info in the link above. Black Ops 2 had a similar image and the reveal was the day before the posted date. If the same thing happens, the reveal will be April 30th based on the image showing new posters on May 1st. We shall see!

I mis-read what you wrote. I agree a "reveal" could happen on April 30th. And the picture you provided certainly provides reason to believe.

What I should have said, was that the "world premiere" trailer will occur right before the NBA finals. In other words, the first official trailer for this new COD game will debut then.

New COD engine? Hopefully totally fresh Next Gen and not just some updates to the current one.

I believe it. Next gen systems = Next gen engines.

Even better that the Next gen Xbox & Playstation both will be using x86 architecture. Which means we should get true PC quality games and it will be much easier to keep game technology up to date like their PC counterparts.

That's all any "new engine" ever is....but I'm sure there will be enough changes under the hood this time that it'll look pretty significant. But probably still one of the least impressive looking next gen games, cause they still need to be able scale it back to run at 60fps on a 360. I can't see them abandoning that performance bar for at least another 2 years.

Add Best Buy to the list of retailers with the COD: Ghosts info. They show a 11/5/13 release date. Says you can pre-order it in the Best Buy ad. I would have to imagine that means we will see some kind of teaser or trailer today.

Actually makes me more excited for the next-gen Xbox.

If COD:Ghost comes out Nov 5th.. then that means the next-gen Xbox must also debut sometime around then. Both are absolutely day-1 buys for me. Just let me know when & where to preorder!

I'm contemplating whether I should pre-order 2 of them. 1 for me and 1 for Ebay.

I've never been a fan of the "flipping" thing or "flippers" for that matter. Mainly because it really pisses me off whenever I can not purchase high-demand products that I actually want to use, because so many others have purchased them solely for the purchase of flipping on Ebay.

But I must admit when I first got my launch Xbox360 (the day BEFORE the official release date).. and saw they were going for a $1000 on Ebay.. the thought definitely crossed my mind.

I put myself through college doing that, although I always stuck to buying used stuff from people on forums, and reselling on eBay for way more. It was such easy money like 10 years ago before everyone and their mom did it too. But yeah, it is really annoying when it comes to product launches, Black Friday etc. I had a friend who bought a few Wii Us to flip, but they didnt even sell for more, he ended up returning them.

I always thought they should just auction off the first 5,000 consoles for charity or something - and ship them out a week early. The people willing to get it first would get it even earlier, the money would go to a good cause, it'd be great PR and it'd completely undercut the scalpers. But I think they secretly love the scalpers, because even though half the people waiting overnight arent even buying it for themselves, the long lines look real good.

I understand why people do it. And try my best not to judge it from an ethical standpoint. Because this is America and capitalism is the way we do business. But I just hate when I see people purposely doing it and what they are doing directly affects me. Good example would be the run on guns, accessories and ammo after the Sandy Hook tragedy & Congressional vote to change gun laws. You could not find an AR-15, magazines or ammo in stock ANYWHERE. But you go on Gunbroker (Ebay for firearms) and several 1000's of those items are listed there at triple the price. Even now .223 ammo is hard to find in stock at what it was priced at .30cents/round just 4 months ago. But there are specific "gouging" sites where you they are sitting on hundreds of thousands of rounds priced at $1/round.

I think the best way to limit this activity is to allow (1) per household when things are in extremely high demand. And to have some sort of pre-order/payment system so that you arent stuck waiting in long lines for an item you have no chance at getting. I believe Apple did this sort of thing when they released their latest iPhone, you could only buy one and you could pre-order it for guaranteed delivery or pickup on the release day. Who I really feel sorry for are the parents who are just trying to get their kid the ultimate Christmas present. They have no idea what kind of demand a new product can generate and generally are overwhelmed and completely frustrated trying to locate one.

Either way.. best believe I'm pre-ordering the next-gen Xbox from a large, reputible retailer like Amazon or Walmart (I dont trust BestBuy or Gamestop). And Im paying extra for next day shipping. There is no way in hell I'm going to risk standing in line hoping to get the NextBox in cold azz November!

I have 2 Xbox's now so most likely I will do the same with the next one, especially if it has a Blu-Ray drive. The way I see it is I pre-order 2 of them. If they are selling for ridiculous amounts on Ebay/Craigslist, then I will sell the 2nd one. If not, I just keep it and have my 2nd one a little earlier than I had planned.

The teaser is pretty weak. The most interesting thing about the teaser is the end where they say it will be revealed at the Next Box reveal. So that must mean it will be for the next gen consoles as well as current gen as we have seen in the pre-order info.

Gamestop has pre-order bonuses. 2 sided poster and a Ghost camo for Black Ops 2. Interesting that they are doing a cross developer bonus like that.

They've done that kind of thing before....you got the prestige points in mw3 for prestiging in blops. They're all playing for the same team....one of the devs described the relationship to me as two frats from the same university.

i hope this whole "live action" thing dies quicker, it seems like so many games are doing it and i hate it, who cares, show gameplay..

Agreed - I've waited in line in the past and learned my lesson. I'll most likely be pre-ordering through Amazon as well.

That's exactly what I plan on doing. The minute they open it for preorder I will get one, especially since they don't charge you until it ships. I will also pay for the fastest shipping avaliable.
