Call of Duty: Ghosts - Page 49

yeah I realized that but I wish I spent with a bit more of a watchful eye. I could be rolling with the same guy right off the bat instead of slogging along.

Man - COD is cool and all but I'm just not excited about it anymore. I'd still play but I'm more excited about Destiny/TitanFall/Division

Really don't like the new prestige system. What happens when you max out all ten? That's it?

The Division looks awesome. Just wish it wasn't so far out.

Been watching a few Battlefield 4 videos and now I'm wondering why I have been playing COD. BF4 looks really cool with actual vehicles and aircraft that you can control in the game. That and a higher number of players in a match looks like a better experience to me. I'm sure it has it's own set of problems just like COD but I might just rent BF4 and see how I like it.

For what it's worth I've been playing the hell out of red orchestra 2 the past few days. BF is too old, tired and broken for me, but RO2 is something on a whole other level. BF feels like a children's game to me now.

I haven't played it in weeks... Still can't bring myself to trade it in though which I had zero problem doing with BO2 and MW3 before it.

I might wait out a few patches first. Head over to any bf4 forum and there is a fair bit of grief regarding the current state of the game.

I'm pretty sure they send a booth babe over to your residence to give you a 'cod job'...

Did not know that.. thanks!

true, but the last patch probably fixed 75% of the unplayability (except for party chat which is still fairly screwy).

as long as chat isn't a dealbreaker, i'd say BF4 is stable enough to have fun with it. but then it's so different from COD that having fun may be the big challenge.

I don't remember the last time I was so pumped about a game. Can't wait!

I got tiered of BLOPS 2 and dusted off BF3 that I had for a year.It was fun at first but I should have done some homework and played some campaign before jumping into MP,it is a lot different than COD .And trying to use the vehicles, argh.

I remembered the game mode on setting last night and it was good to finally be able to play closer to 1.0. Still have a few negative rounds but now at least I am not "hobbled" by the tv

good times last night. Hoping to log more hours tomorrow

My problem with Ghosts is that some people clearly are ahead by at least a second.  Now my internet is good.  People shouldn't be that ahead of me but I watch kill cams all the time because i'm like no way.  And of course on their screen they unload like an entire clip but on my side I shot them only hear one shot coming my way and dead.  I get very annoyed seeing me shoot first, then seeing their kill with them shooting me with half a clip before I return fire.

The worst part is I can't tell if I'm just bad or just unlucky with ping/lag.

The main problem I have with Ghosts multi-player is consistancy, there isn't any...

I'm consistently about .5 to 1 second behind my enemy every time lol.  I'm pretty sure I'm not that bad but who knows.  I will probably just go back to BF4 on the pc until I find people to play with.

Same here. I have Roadrunner Turbo internet which has always been more than fine for me. I'm playing on a hardwired connection, no wireless. I can never seem to get the jump on anybody and even when I catch someone off guard they always seem to thrash around like a fish out of water and end up killing me. WTF?

Watch your kill cams.  I would wager that what you saw happen and what the host game registered is not the same.  I will literally see me let off like 5-10 rounds and when I watch the kill cam i don't take a shot.

Yeah, that's how mine looks as well. I don't think the kill cams have ever really been a truly accurate representation of what happens. Or maybe my connection has been lacking all this time.

Does using a wireless controller rather than wired make any difference?
The killcams will never be accurate to what you saw on your screen. (and they're not supposed to be.)

They should be accurate for the killing player as the server registered it.  I understand they will never be perfect for me due to lag/ping issues but I believe them to be an accurate representation of what the other player saw when he killed me.

What would make this game more interesting for me would be to totally kill the mini-map thing and increase the team sizes to at least 12 on 12.

They would need to make the maps bigger to accommodate that many people I would think.

Nope, they're not accurate for them either. It's the servers perspective, which isn't the same as what he saw either. And it's also running at a lower precision than actual gameplay, which is why shots don't always line up.

I think these maps are already too big for just 6 on 6. I'm still hopeful that someone will release an epic sized game one day with huge maps and hundreds of players.

For you guys having lag issues, look at the input lag numbers of your tv. . Got my wife a new monitor and almost all her issues went away. She was down almost 10 frames with her ~100 ms input lag.

Interesting. I'm playing on an almost 7 year old Samsung plasma. Was thinking of an upgrade soon.

I picked up BF4 for XB1 and I'd say the graphics and sound effects are great. For some reason i just dont find the vehicles fun, TDM is pretty good tho'
Definitely worth trying it out, it just may be what youre looking for.
But i find myself always going back to COD ground war (9vs9) or kill confirmed. Lately ive been getting into aggressive run-n-gun lobbys.....shocking biggrin.gif

The sound effects in the BF series have always been top notch.  It is by far the most realistic/immersive sound in a war game I have ever heard.  I don't really do vehicles either in BF4 unless its an MBT.  COD serves a different purpose for me.  Its quick 10 minute matches vs 25-40 minute matches in BF, and I don't need to try on objectives and such.

COD certainly makes it easy to drop in for quick 10 minutes of TDM.
