I think a truer statement might be that you've simply gotten used to it.
I play black ops 1 quite a lot and, while I used to bitch about lag in that game, I mostly feel like my connection is pretty decent these days...
... And then I go play some cod4/mw2 and realize just how gawd-awful the connection in black ops 1 really is! Lol! Mind you-- compared to blops 2 / mw3 the OG blops isn't terrible... But it's still bad. There is this feeling of constant disconnection, which is what makes me laugh whenever the developers point out CoD's super-mega-ultra-responsive controls and response! Lol! Who the **** cares when your connection to the lobby has been artificially handicapped half a second due to your better-than-average bandwidth?
I sort of equate it to all these Camry drivers: if you drive a Camry you probably have no idea how numb the steering is or how slow the car is to respond to inputs-- you just drive to work happy and content in your choice of transportation. You have no idea the enjoyment you're missing if you had chosen a funner car.
I'm addicted to CoD-- old CoD. That connection and feeling of instant response has me hooked. I need a fix and I haven't had one since mw2!!
