I thought his dashboarding was usually as a result of air-striking himself.

Just when the wounds were starting to heal, you guys bring this back up. I've been going to therapy for 5 years now trying to put that behind me frown.gif

Is Ghosts going to be released on November 5 or not? some are saying that Amazon is saying it will for the Xbox One but the page itself is ambiguous... I've been procrastinating on preordering, deciding what to get and where to get but if this is the case, I'd definitely have to decide sooner than later.

earlier on the page:
This item will be released on November 5, 2013.

later on the page:
Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts is coming to Xbox One but the release date is not confirmed; November 5, 2013 is a placeholder release date

Xbox 360 = 11/5
Xbox One = 11/22

Wouldn't it be weird anyway if the XBOne version was released before the console?

So it seems odd to me that this is 2 weeks away and not only has there been very little chat about Ghosts here but I have not seen anywhere near the "leaked" or even confirmed info on the game. Usually I would have seen a million different things on the game. Breakdowns on MP, maps, weapons, streaks etc etc.

I guess the love for the series is finally died out and people are tired of COD.

Indeed.

Oddly enough, it's still the game Im looking forward to most this year, even including all the next gen stuff. I think it looks like the best cod yet...but I'm nowhere near as excited as I was last year.

Alot of info is out there if you are looking for it. I think the new consoles are dominating the interwebz these days.

Squad Preview info each day this week

I am looking forward to it as well as I am tired of BLOPS2. This game will probably be a pain in the a$$ as well but I know I will still play it.

I am hoping to find an early copy like I did with BLOPS2 but I won't pay a premium for it. I scored last year and paid $65 for a copy about 4 days prior to release so I got a full w/e in on the game before most (of course it didn't help me much rolleyes.gif)

Dedicated servers is the biggest news for Call of Duty since the series left the ww2 setting for CoD4.

I am officially looking forward to this game. I'll keep my expectations in check but the single biggest issue with the last 3 games was the connection. If IW can iron that out I think I can weather any of the BS that's sure to be crammed into this entry.

Maybe I can finally move on from mw2 and blops1...
I'm really looking forward to Ghosts as well in the hopes that the connection issues will be addressed. Glad they're keeping some semblance of the Pick 10 system, just wish they'd scale back the killstreaks (i know that will never happen). Squads looks like it could be a pretty interesting option when friends aren't online.

COD Ghosts: Squads preview Day 2. Wargames

One of the new modes that’s part of Ghosts’s Squads is called Wargame. This game puts you up against AI bots. You can play with up to 6 people total. If you play solo, you will be joined by your squad mates who will be controlled by the AI.

COD Ghosts Squads Preview Day 3: Safeguard Mode

http://www.charlieintel.com/2013/10/23/ign-squads-preview-day-3-safeguard-gameplay/

Safeguard is similar to MW3′s survival mode, but in Ghosts you can choose from playing in 20 round only, 4o round only, or unlimited rounds.

Call of Duty: Ghosts has "fantastic graphics" on Xbox One, reiterates Infinity Ward
Some features simply weren't possible on Xbox 360

"This game runs like a dog" is generally an insult, but what if your game lets you play as a dog? Chatting to OXM as part of a feature you'll read in our latest issue, on sale Friday, Infinity Ward's executive producer Mark Rubin has said a bit more about the visual gulf between the current gen and Xbox One versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts.

As revealed by Eurogamer in June, the game runs at 60 frames per second in 1080p. "We actually have a 4K TV at work and got the game running on that," Rubin told the site at the time. "It looks phenomenal. The 4K TVs have a max hertz of 30, so we're maxing it out. It looks amazing!"

Speaking to us at Gamescom in August, Rubin reiterated that "it'll definitely look better". "Graphically I still love when we're playing in the office, when we play on Xbox One - you go up to a brick wall and you can see all the geometry of the bricks," he mused. "Even the little tiny cracks - you can see the geometry. It catches my eye, sometimes, even when we're in the middle of a firefight. It's like 'ooh, pretty'.

"For the Xbox One you're obviously looking at fantastic-looking graphics, super-smooth play," he continued. "We're pushing the limits on current gen, always - we're maxed out on everything from memory to processing power. I think we do a great job of doing that while still coming out with 60 frames a second. But with Xbox One I feel like we've got a lot to work with, and I'm really excited about where we push that in the future.

"In general the Xbox One looks fantastic," Rubin went on. "I love the new controller, actually, I think the new sticks are amazing. I love that the battery pack's not right under your fingers."

Among the graphical tricks that aren't possible on Xbox 360 is a process known as sub-division rendering (in brief, this draws in additional polygons and triangles when you zoom on an object, so it doesn't appear angular). Getting the game's spruced-up audio working on Xbox 360 has been "tough", according to Rubin. "For a while I wasn't sure if it was going to make it," he confessed to OXM in September.

Read more about the game's impressive redesigned AI here, or read my thoughts on the game's map deformation system, which probably won't give Battlefield 4 a run for its money

Since they're referring to an old eurogamer article and not direct quoting, I'd stop short of a calling that a confirmation. But come on, it's not 720p, that's just silly. Maybe it's 900p, maybe it's still 1080p...those are plausible, 720p is absurd.

720p isn't absurd in general if you've bumped up other other aspects. It could still be a huge improvement graphically. Just like this gen there are 1080p games, usually games that don't have as much going on as a lot of the 720p games.

Well, cod doesn't have much going on, and the base assets run at 640p at 60fps on hardware that's 10x less powerful. 720p for BF4 is believable, 720p for cod on next gen just isn't.

I agree with that. I meant just more for games in general.

you know how credible this rumor is when even Kotaku hasn't discussed it and they splash up every possible "gotcha" rumor that they can.
No one is going to tick off Activision, just as no one was going to tick of Take Two. Most are probably under very strict NDS's until after the release date on what they can say in exchange for early review copies and special reviews.

So any word on if they've made no scoping any easier this go round? Sometimes it's frustrating because of how hard it is to do right.

I know, right? Sometimes I even have to switch to tubing and OMA to get a nuke in the first two-minutes of Domination.
