Hi guys,

New to the forum. As the title to this thread explains I have a new Pro-Ject Debut Carbon and some Wharfedale 8.1 monitors. Both were gifts. I'm looking to set them up and was wondering if anyone had any advice as to which route to take in doing so? A straight stereo reciver with a phono input seems to be the easiest option. Maybe a Denon or Onkyo? Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated!

Are you just going w/just a channel vinyl setup? If so the Marantz 5004 w/built in phono would work well. Also check out Music Direct they have a sale on a Jolida JD1701 Integrated Hybred Amp. Personally I'm a bit partial to mixing TT's and tubes. Just a suggestion that you may want to explore. smile.gif

A straight channel/vinyl setup seems to be the easiest option. My Wharfdales have a built in amplifying unit, so Im worried going the pre amp/ amplifier way may cause a blow. Is this concern justified?
