Looper BluRay, Yes your projector is actually functioning properly!

Rented and watched "Looper" on Blu ray last night. A few minutes into it I was beginning to freak out because I was seeing a ton of bright blue lens flare. I was thinking that there was no way that this movie should look like that, and proceeded to power cycle my equipment in a desperate attempt to "fix" the issue. Of course that didn't work so I decided to just suffer through the rest of the movie and worry about the issue the next day, all the while thinking $#@*, now I have to return the projector for repair with only 110 hours on it. I run a Pro8200 projector on a cheap white matte screen.

So now it is the next day and I loaded the blu ray into a different player and watched a clip on my 46 in LCD, guess what, the same eye jarring, rage inducing, bright blue lens flare is there! So, after worrying about this all night it turns out to just be terrible effects built into the movie. Maybe I am especially sensitive to this type of lens flare but I just cannot fathom why they would to this to a movie eek.gif

Anyway, at least I know that my projector isn't broken. Anyone else have a similar experience with movies?

The ridiculous fake lens flares in "Star Trek" nearly ruined the movie for me.
