Oppo BDP-103 deals - post here

Thread Starter
Please post any good deals found for the Oppo BDP-103 Universal Network 3D Blu-ray Disc Player in this thread. Thanks!!

Oppo is generally a player that won't have 'deals'. It will in all likelihood be 499 until it is no longer sold, then you can probably pick up a refurb for less. Occasionally you might run across an open box return. That's about it.

The 'deal' you get is really a truly outstanding player and unparalleled in the industry customer service. Its worth every penny.

glangford experinece is mine as well. I have not seen the OPPO go on sale. Used and refurbs are the route to take when looking for cheaper prices. Right now the OPPO 103 is still pretty new, so it will probably a "wait" before we see some hit the used market etc. As you can see, since the 103/105 were annouced, we saw a "flood" of the OPPO previous models hit the classified forum, as members are looking to upgrade to the latest version of their Blu Ray player.

Since the Oppo 103 upcale Bluray to 4K there is no need with this player to get a 4K upscaling (not native) Samsung projector, am I correct?

How do Oppo's handle MKVs and such?

I'd like to get one and make it Blu-ray and DVD Region Free.

I first posted this on the Denon thread and a subscriber suggested I post on a blu-ray player thread instead. My question is:

Are there any other direct source blu-ray players out there besides the Oppo? I'm asking because the Oppo is so expensive at $499 and I'm looking for a blu-ray player that doesn't mess with the video source.

They seem to come and go pretty fast. Saw it on there yesterday and was gone a couple hours later.

It's back up on their website. You just have to scroll down a little under the Oppo store page.

Or just follow this link...

After doing some digging I found this...

This limited warranty shall not extend to anyone other than the original purchaser of the product. It is nontransferable and states your exclusive remedy.
