We have a AVR 135 (refurb off ebay) connected to the Fluance AV-HTB with upgraded center and a Dayton 10" Sub (All value recommendations from this forum a few years ago)
We upgraded around this setup last year to a 50" Panasonic Plasma and a BluRay player. (Also have a wii, HD comcast box and VGA laptop ) A Harmony remote takes care of all the complex switching easily.
But recently listening to other audio systems, I feel my receiver is not good enough to get the most out of Fluance speakers. I feel the volume is usually well up -30 to -25 db and the receiver cannot handle the newer blu-ray audio formats. (Dolby-HD etc)
Can you guys recommend a receiver which will provide a pronounced upgrade? (lower the cost the better).
