First-Time Poster Looking For Advice on Bookshelf Speakers

Hello there, I am new here and came looking for some advice on getting a pair of fairly cheap bookshelf speakers for a 2.0 or maybe 2.1 system to go along with my second TV. I was looking at a pair of Definitive Studio Monitor 350's and they looked pretty good. I have a pair of JBL 4410's and Definitive Tech. BP-8's. If you could give me your opinion on some bookshelf’s for under about $300 that would be great.

Thanks, Owen

Just made a similar purchase. Here is what was recommended to me when I asked the same question, other than what was already mentioned...

Hsu HB-1
NHT Absolute zero
Infinity primus p163
Ascend cbm-170

You will hear support for just about all of these here, if you can listen to them locally that would be your best bet. That option wasn't available to me so I bought solely on reviews and chose the hsu hb-1. Just hooked them up and love them so far, but take that with a grain of salt because I haven't heard anything else to compare.

Keep in mind the Ascend CBM-170SEs are under $300 for a limited time.
