Questin regarding 4K pass-through capability.

I am considering purchasing an A/V receiver in the $350-$500 range. Something I am confused about is 4k pass-through capability. Is that something all receivers support even if they do not explicitly mention it? What if the PS4 comes out next year which will support that resolution, will my receiver be obsolete without that feature (in case I want to hook it up to a hypothetical 4k screen)? In short, is it worth it spending an extra $100 on just so the box explicitly states that it will support it? I know that is a lot but I don't want to find out later that I purchased the wrong product. BTW what unit would you recommend in and around that price range? I am leaning towards Denon.

No. Only the Denon "CI" models support 4k pass through so if you purchased a lower model (eg. 1913) and you purchased a 4k TV in the future, you would need to connect the PS4(HDMI) to the TV with PS4(optical) to the 1913.
