The decision has been made to finish a portion of our basement and make it into a media room/ man cave/ bar. After reading a ton, researching the various technology that's out there and comparing it to our needs, I settled of the following :
Panasonic VIERA TC-P65GT50
Sony STRDN1030 Wi-Fi Network A/V Receiver
Polk 65RT for the fronts and center
Polk RC60i for the surrounds
Polk PSW125 for the sub
The basement is a blank slate at this point, so I need some advice concerning flooring and ceiling. We will be using this room for watching movies, football, playing video games, so the acoustical properties of the flooring and ceiling are my concerns now that I have the equipment and furniture taken care of.
