Chicago Fire on NBC

Thread Starter
I did a search, here, on the forums and did not find a listing for Chicago Fire. So, if I'm repeating an existing thread, please feel free to delete. Anyway-the reason for my posting is to state my opinion of this show. Up until last year, I had lived/worked in Chicago for 35 years. This show has great location shooting. And, I feel the casting of the crew and the writing to be pretty good. After watching all the aired episodes, I feel really drawn to this show. I really don't have any nits to pick about it. How does anybody else feel about this show? Any comments about any aspect of it?

Glad I'm not alone! I too have become drawn to that show and its characters. I'm glad that Severide finally decided to ditch the drugs and have his shoulder surgery.

There have been several comments regarding Chicago Fire, but apparently no real thread was started so thank you for that. It is a quality show and one that I look forward to watching every week. The cast is good and they mesh well together. The storylines have been well-written and I hope NBC keeps up the good work. They have been on the bottom of the heap for so long, I'm glad to see them having at least a few successes.

I watched the first episode back in the fall and thought, "eh...a little too soapy for me." But I didn't remove it from the season pass list. Over Thanksgiving week, I noticed I had 5 or 6 episodes recorded, so I thought I'd burn through them in a marathon. By the third one, it really had me looking forward to the next one. Good series.

I've been watching since the first episode but forgot to search for a thread. The wife and I look forward to it every week and have grown to like the various characters who's backstory we've seen.

We also liked "Trauma", another NBC casualty. So, sarcastically, I fully expect NBC to can this in the coming weeks (something I know all/most AVS members know full well about!)

In our house, I joke that NBC stands for:

Now
Being
Canceled

Yep, I enjoy every episode as well. But, I think I missed one and have to recheck, as the last one I watched had the Chief back, after he walked out, with no explanation as to how he returned.

Or how quick Severide recovered from the surgery... I thought he took the less risky one...

He took the riskier surgery, but ya, the recovery time interval was really short as well. Those four weeks went by real fast.
