The reason they "didn't have enough evidence to convict" is because Ray lied to the police and clammed up
(that's what obstruction of justice means). He and his two buddies, one or more of which must have committed the crimes, were the only witnesses. They wiped the knife clean of prints and ditched the white suit with blood on it. There was victims' blood in the limo, but that wasn't enough to determine who did the actual stabbing. And the "outsiders" you mention were the victim's families, including a child born a few months after her father's death.
In other words, the killer(s) got away with murder, and Ray Lewis was involved. Think whatever you like, that's the unvarnished truth of it. Lewis has to live with that, but in his mind, God don't care. Neither do very many others, including you. Far be it from me to harsh anyone's buzz. Carry on, and Go Ravens!
