Anybody on the helmet to helmet PF on 3rd down?

don't know which play you're referring too?

the alleged late hit on flacco?

i recorded, not taped, the nfl replay last night.

i'll go back and look at it for helmet to helmet.

i did not think the hit on flacco was late as he was out of the pocket and
right on the sideline when he threw the ball.

as already said, qb ain't protected out there

well i guess the 20m they are going to have to give to joe for being the best he can afford to take a couple of hits.

My son and I have a saying that the only people talking about refs is usually the loser of the game.eek.gif

went back and looked at the play last night and i did not see helmet to helmet hit on flacco on that play.
also did not think it was late hit as the contact occurred just as he released the ball.

Misunderstanding of what I was saying.
1. I was commenting that on the alleged PF of Flacco that Flacco was out of the pocket and hitting him in bounds was legal. As I said he had one foot in bounds. NOT a penalty.

2. The separate helmet to helmet hit I referred to occurred on SF's 3rd down attempt at the EZ, the play before the 4th down controversial "holding" call or non-call in this instance. The Ravens player struck the receiver in his helmet with his, the defender's helmet. That is a point of emphasis PF, not called and would have resulted in 1st and goal from the 2 1/2 or so by memory. It seemed accidental to me but MUST be called by rule. It wasn't called
and the announcers blew right by it.

Let me know what you see. Watched on a 60" HDTV. From memory it was a bit of a glancing blow but helmet to helmet. Did not seem intentional. I saw the receiver's head move back/aside from the blow. Refs were right there. It was out in the open inside the 5 yd line.

it's nice to know that we're still arguing about a game that the ravens won fair and square.
Yeah i'd be worried too. The game is still under review here at avs, so I wouldn't book my plans to disneyworld yet.
why is it the losers always gripe about some alleged injustice done to them by the winners.
Had no dog in the hunt. Simply asking those who recorded the show to verify.

no one is griping. as i explained in my earlier post, all emotions about the outcome were withdrawn after 48 hours. so i am not now complaining about any calls right now.

but on further review, the game has been awarded to niners as kaepernick is more fun to watch play than flacco.

Sure, the Ravens were the better team this season & thru the playoffs. Yes, you have Ray, an accomplice to murder. I can live with that...as long as he doesn't know where I live, that is.
