You can’t send someone to prison if you can’t prove they did it, and the prosecution couldn’t prove their case, which is why the other two were acquitted. Had Ray not struck a plea deal he would have also been acquitted. Like it or not that is the way the system works. I would rather see someone who the court couldn’t convict go free, than send someone who is innocent to prison. There are lots of questions about the incident that leave you scratching your head, but it’s over.

Unless you're the family of the people Ray contributed to the deaths of. Then it's never over.

Ray Lewis seems to talk about God a great deal. In fact, I haven't heard even a snippet of an interview with him in recent years where he hasn't invoked the Almighty. So, and I'm just speculating here, maybe God told Ray to clam up about what he knows about those two murders. Maybe He told Ray to burn the white suit with those young men's blood on it. Maybe He told the Commissioner that Ray's His favorite linebacker and commanded the NFL to sing joyful hosannas to Ray and make him its official spokesman.

Verily, the Lord works in mysterious ways. And He may have the Ravens against the spread, but that's just speculation too.

Agree about the families. When no one stands accountable it’s difficult to live with.

Ravens looked killer last Sunday. They destroyed pats at home in afc champ game.

I was impressed. Even though I bleed scarlet and gold, and niners favored by 3 1/2, I'm not feeling terribly confident

Plus we have to deal with whatever mojo ray Lewis is bringing.

Somebody tell me we're going to be alright.

If its any consulation, I've been a nervous Nellie before all the other 5 niner super bowls.

Time to start to let the junk fly here. Bring it on ravens

I'm looking forward to the Super Bowl on CBS. CBS and NBC's 1080i HD picture OTA are the best sources of HD available.

i'm afraid the ravens mojo is to great. but the game should be close but unfortunately for you guys the ravens will prevail. they say that 1 out of 2 americans will be watching. best superbowl ever with two brothers squaring off against each other. couldn't ask for anything more. the ratings should be thru the roof.
Not commenting on the RL fiasco, prosecutors had their chance. Looking forward to the game, heard it will be the first time brothers have faced each other for championship in any sport. Whats on everyone menu? We should start a food thread.biggrin.gif enjoy the game everyone!!
It might be important to say Head Coach brothers facing each other. There have been several Super Bowls with players who are brothers faced each other....
you are 100% correct. the harbowl will be the best game yet!
The ratings will be through the roof. CBS is available in everybody's home and it has the best picture quality available.

It is gonna be just fine. It is my grandson's first birthday .Birthday party at noon game at 3:30. Going to be close though. Two hard nosed defenses and two offenses that are becoming more prolific. Might come down to special teams this year. Akers scares me.

well there is one thing going for the niners. during playoff runs, each team usually has one game when they're off and not playing their best.
teams that win the super bowl usually are able to somehow win their off games.

niners were off in atlanta. they spotted the falcons 17 points and never really shut their offense down the whole game.
yet thanks to atlanta's turnovers and the niners d keeping the falcons out of the end zone after a couple of long drives, the niners were able to prevail
despite not playing their "a" game

new england had their off game against the ravens. from what i can recall from these playoffs, the ravens haven't had their off game yet
and that may happen sunday.

Not many raven fans here, awfully quiet you guys

A little nervous maybe...

we'll do our talking on the field of play where it matters the most, anyone can talk trash but you got to be able to back it up.
Both teams are worthy opponents so I'm hoping for a reasonably well refereed game. Last years' SB refs were decent, no real complaints. I'm flashing back to the travesty that was the Seahags vs Steelers SB where the refs mis-handled the game egregiously costing Seattle a likely win.
Lets hope the ads live up to the hype of the game. Ditto for theanthem and hhalftime shiw.

They haven’t wowed me in several years.

i'm all for a game played well with good officials. i'd hate to see the game lost or won because of a bad call.
