receiver: VSX-1021K
fronts: polk monitor 70
center: polk cs15
I recently purchased a Martin Dynamo 300 sub to add to the system. I am trying to figure out what's the best setting... If I set fronts to "large", subwoofer will work only with a dolby digital signal (with LFE channel). for 2 channel sources(even under dolby prologic or neo), low frequency components will go into the fronts. If I set fronts to "small", all low frequency components go through subwoofer at all times. which way is the best?
also, I set the sub on a fairly thick carpet... would that inversely affect bass quality?
