After nearly 10 years (and 4 lamps) my Samsung DLP finally has given up. It could the lamp or ballast but I don't want to go down that hole. I've been generally happy with the DLP for my viewing (25% sports/50% TV/25% movies) save for some reflection and shadow issues. I am trying to decide between a plasma and LED LCD for my next panel.
The TV is currently in a rectangular living room with a large window (w/blinds) behind and a glass door to the left. I've attached a few pics of the light sources that could cause reflection. Could a plasma work in this setup?
Also, viewing distance is about 11-12 ft, so should I stay with 50" or go with a 55" screen? I don't want the screen to dominate the wall either.

Thanks.
