Hi everyone, thanks for the replies!
You're looking pretty good there McStyvie! Except for that dip around 60hz which may or may not be able to be fixed by creative placement.
Thanks mate, will try to move the subs around and see if that makes any difference. I didn't do the SPL calibration, I will do that this weekend, you mean with the 3 second pink noise from REW and an SPL meter one foot from the sub right? And keep doing that on each sub until they are between 72-75DB?
Similar dip at 120Hz. Do you have a room dimension around 19 feet? If so, can you place your sub at the middle of that dimension and re-measure?
Hi, not sure if you mean total square feet?` I will measure this weekend, but at a guess, it is more like 4 meters x 4 meters, and on one side it opens up to a dining nook, with a 2m wall, which is the bookshelf to the right of the fronts. Behind the couch is all window...
Also, I forgot to add it to the drawing, but there is a big, fairly shaggy carpet covering the whole square area between the sofa and the TV
From mid empire to mid B&W and all the way to the couch from the TV.
I am at work right now, but here is a rough sketch...Do you mean put the sub int he middle of the room? or along the wall in the middle?
I had the sub in pos. 1 for a long time, but recently moved it to where it is now. I could do pos. 1,2, or 3 for the empire, and the B&W is pretty small, so could also go in any of those places...just from this, any ideas on how to get rid of that 60hz + 120hz killer?
To see if it is some interaction between the 2 subs, measure from the same mic position, but with one sub at a time.
Also, rather than attaching the jpg file, insert it as an image. Then we can see it without downloading it. It's the icon just to the left of the paperclip.
Thanks Roger, will have more time this weekend to try that out...and thanks for the tip on attaching images
Thanks again for the help!
