Picked up a Samsung 60hz LCD LN40E550F7FXCA with the version SS04 panel to use for a HTPC fed via HDMI from an ATI HD6850 from Walmart for $398.00 since it was so cheap. I'm in the process of calibrating it and testing with different content.
A few questions:
1. I cannot find the response time for the unit anywhere, any help?
2. Is the SS04 Samsung panel the preferable panel?
3. What is the best free software or web based site to test the panel for anamolies?
4. Is there another unit you would recommend for this scenario (1080p content played from PC, no gaming, best panel- frills not needed)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
