Anything like the Assassin's Guides for Windows 8 yet?

hey gang....is there such a thing out there? I just upgraded to a i3/H77/Windows 8 based HTPC and was wondering if there were any HTPC-specific guide to set up / optimizations etc out there?? It took me a couple of hours just to get my audio sent through HDMI and to get TMT 5 running correctly...and both MC and probably XBMC are on the way soon. eek.gif Has Assassin tackled this the new OS yet? Will he?

I just switched out my Win7 HTPC install to Win8 this past weekend. It was the last PC in the house with an "old" OS with 4 laptops (both my wife's and my old laptops handed down to our children count as two) switched to Win8 and my WHS2011 server switched to Server 2012 Essentials.

The only difference that I can recall, besides getting the latest Win8 drivers/software, was needing to get a special version of MediaBrowser. Also, there is no "Boot Into WMC" option.

I installed StartIsBack to add back the Start button and easy boot directly into the desktop. I'd assume most of the guide would still apply, but I've not used it.

Aside from obviously requiring drivers and apps compatible with Win 8 I would assume that setting up Media Center should be the same for either OS. WMC is supposedly unchanged for Win 8 so setup should theoretically be identical.

We are working towards being at CES this week.

After CES we are going to get back to work on the guides and have quite a few planned for release asap. A set of Win 8 guides is planned but as stated shouldn't be much different than the Win 7 guides I already have.
