Subwoofer replacment / multiple subwoofer question

Hello all,
I am seeking some advice on which direction to go with my subwoofer purchase. As background, I have a 7.1 axiom system with M60's in the front and a Denon 4311ci. I currently have an Axiom EP350. When i bought this system, I was dealing with a smaller space. I was hoping to upgrade to a higher output sub. Also, this is for 99% movies.

I have been looking at 2 subs, the HSU vtf-15 and the SVS PB12-PLUS. I have read positive things about both subs here and else where. Ok, onto the questions:

Would I add these subs to my system and continue to run the EP350 or replace the EP350?

Do these subs provide a big enough improvment to justify the purchase? Is there something better in the 1000-1500$ price range?

Would either of these subs provide a better experience for movie watching?

Thank you,
Tom

Is there any reason in particular that makes you not happy with the EP350 and would prevent or discourage you from adding a second EP350?

The 4311ci is a very capable AVR and iirc, can EQ two subs, each one separately.

I'd replace the EP350 (sell it and put the money toward your upgrade).

Yes.

Other options in that price range include:
- PSA XV-15 ($799, shipped)
- dual SVS PB-1000 ($949, shipped)
- Rythmik FV15HP ($1,274 + shipping)

I would take a look at the new XS30 from Power Sound Audio too. It's a great sub too!
