Had a thunderstorm a while back which cut the power off. When I turned the TV back on (which was at default high contrast) the whites were distorted and produced a pearlescent/rainbow effect, this doesn't appear when I juice the contrast down but the colours are a bit too bland for my taste when watching Blu-Ray/HD content. Any idea's of the problem, is it common?

Contrast: 100 (MAX)
Best way to describe it is a posterize type effect
3rd Picture shows it the best, at 80 a blue tinge appears, on max it's a rainbow of colour. Only happens on light area's of the screen
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
