For Sale:
TC Sounds LMS Ultra x 2

Will Ship To: Contact Me

*Sold!*

Up for sale are my TC Sounds LMS Ultras.

I have two (2) for sale and would preferably like to sell them locally to avoid shipping costs. If you aren't too far, I'd be willing to meet half way to make the deal happen. I'm in Chantilly, VA 20152. Buyer covers shipping cost.

I've owned these since July 2012 and have loved every minute of it! I bought these with the intention of owning the "end all be all" of subs and simply purchasing more if the upgraditus bug ever struck. One sub is awesome, but these low distortion monsters really shine in multiples! My wife, friends, family and even a few AVS'ers that have heard my system in person think it's in the verge of ridiculousness and I'd say with all confidence that a pair of these subs would be more than adequate for 99% of HT enthusiasts…

Unfortunately, I am within the 1% crowd and my obsessive bass addiction has forced me to move on.

I've attached some pics for reference. $700 price is for each sub. The box you see housing the drivers, also known as the wooly mammoths, are not included in the sale. Subs are 100% cosmetically and mechanically perfect and will be sold with the original screws, manuals, boxes.

Help me fund my addiction and more importantly, help me find a good home for my *lightly used babies.

Don't hesitate to post up any questions here or feel free to contact me directly.

I had a chance to listen to these in Austin's room this past weekend. AWESOME. They simply provide incredible amounts of clean and controlled power. If you're even remotely interested in a beastly setup such as his, you owe it yourself to go listen. It's all but guaranteed you will be leaving with these monsters.

Man, I'm still smiling from that Black Hawk Down scene... I've never even seen my subs move like that before.

I'd be interested in a listen, but can't afford these right now frown.gif

I can't believe you hadn't heard that before. The look on your face was PRICELESS when they were going crazy. biggrin.gif

WARNING: You WILL find a way to buy them after listening.

These are by far my favorite subs ever, I do have regrets selling mine, I should have just added more biggrin.gif

This sub addiction is brutal, the most popular sub always seems to be the next sub or subs to be more accurate.

Man, I sure hope this doesn't turn out to be one of those "damn I should have listened to MJ" scenarios! My luck it probably will...

I did the same thing your doing, I am not crazy enough to listen to my-self.....wait, I am confused confused.gif For music the LMS Ultra is hard if not impossible to beat but for movies if you have a big room then displacement is the key. It takes a lot of subs to be able to play as cleanly as a pair of LMS Ultra's, the low distortion kings. Unfortunately were both raving lunatic bass heads so more is never enough.

Your right when you said that this pair will be enough for 99% of the HT enthusiasts out there, it is an awesome system. I am almost tempted to buy them from you my-self for a second system.

Spoken like a true 1%er...lol

What are you up to now buddy, 26 subs or so???

Just trying to be like Mike!

If it were totally up to me, I'd be rocking 16 LMS-U's, but all of the other factors: additional cost (amps, electrical upgrades, etc...) wife disapproval doesn't make it feasible, ya know?

Man, that would be fun though!

Which scene are you referring to? I just picked this up and watched it again the other day because of the 4.5 star bass rating and was a little underwhelmed (as far as the bass goes). I am guessing it is because I have only one spot to place my sub which probably is not the best and I have yet to really play with it to dial it in.

Hummm, you may be underwhelmed because you are missing out on the infrasonics...?!?!? Sounds like a classic case of "need more sub." Pickup these guys and it will give you a new appreciation of the movie...

:-)

Not 100% of the timestamp because it's one of those BD Reference Demo Discs. It's one of the helicopter scenes when they are taking off from the base.

It looked like the Ultras were digging down to 5hz or so.

Maybe Gorilla or someone else could pinpoint it exactly for you.

It's the BHD blades or 'F-ing Irene' scene that is commonly found on the demo discs on here. It gets down crazy low and loud. I still have the look on Austin's face burned in my mind when we saw the LMS's flexing about 4" during that scene. Something like this:

I think I know what part that was. I would love to get something like these, but I just got my FV15HP about a month ago so the money is not there right now. I know my sub digs pretty deep (probably not to the levels or yours) but I just started trying it in max extension mode instead of max output and for some reason so far I liked max output mode better...felt a little more slam out of them.

Holy hell man...that is some major excursion. Now that I realized it was only like a 5 second clip, I tried it again and even though mine did not get to the extremes as yours did I did have some pretty good excursion and sound from my Rythmik.

Any idea what shipping would be for both to Mid-TN?
