Haha, yeah that show is hilarious. I haven't seen it in a long time but I've seen a bunch of episodes. The coked up David Lee Roth clown is so funny yet scary at the same time, haha.

Yep, I've watched it a couple of times. Love the story about him handing a 5th of Jack and the recipient assumed he was passing the bottle around for everyone to take a swig. Nope, Lemmy grabs more bottles of Jack - one for each person. biggrin.gif

Three terrific documentaries on or about metal. One that isn't about metal but has some real metal parts is Pulling John. It's pretty much Over the Top but with an American and a Russian.

At 44:10...it gets real.

I purchased off Amazon a MP3 of the song by "Dark New Day" called "Brother". Does anyone on here have the CD version, if so are the highs missing from the recording soundsand does it sound distorted?

I love the song, but the MP3 sounds like crap and just wondering if it's the MP3 transfer or just the way it's recorded

It's a pretty bad recording that I have too. Lots of digitizing sounds that absolutely kill me. You want a killer version of that song? Get the one from the backporch sessions acoustic set. It is a well recorded song for sure.

Yep! Actually I saw Dark New Day right after they formed from all their respective bands right there in your hometown, about 8 years ago or so!!

I've been watching Metal Evolution. It's an 11 episode documentary on metal by Sam Dunn of Victoria B.C. (He's the Anthropologist who made the Metal: A headbanger's Journey and World Metal Docs as well as Iron Maiden: Flight 666)

I find this doc is superior to the other two, just because it's 11 hours of content allowing for much more detail.

Really great stuff in the Progressive Metal, Grunge, pre-metal and other episodes.

I watched all of the episodes and really enjoyed it. Remember the first episode when they are doing a brain scan of him while listening to I think it was Slayer? I was hoping they would go more into what happens in the brain of a person listening to metal and liking it ( I imaging something very different that a normal person listening to metal). They kind of just moved on from it quickly and I was really interested in that. I'm curious why people are wired for different kinds of music and why it seems people that love metal REALLY love their music, usually more than your average person.

Thanks, I just fired it up on Spotify. Is this their original singer? Wow, I've slept on this band for a long time. I have their first 2 albums and liked them especially Alive or Just Breathing but haven't heard anything since. Looks like I've missed a lot of albums. Well, I have them all now on Spotify.

Yea this one is with the orig singer. First time since alive and just breathing

my copy came today. its definitely more raw then the last cpl. really digging some of the songs. will have to give it a few play through before i can really give an opinion

I usually don't fall in love with albums with this many songs. I'm not sure why that is. It sounds pretty good so far, way too early to judge.

What time stamp are you going to use with Take the Time?
