Thought I might add, I finally just pulled the batteries from the fancy new remote, and my problem has yet to reoccur. Kinda bums me, as it is a nice remote, but the other two work fine.

i doubt it. i play ps3 games on normal mode and it's ok enough for me.

i finally replaced the batteries with some GP ultra ones and it works a lot better now.

you have to setup the remote for using some HT or amp and the settop-box if you have one, after i did that the random weird things it did dissapeared.

it works via bluetooth so there might be something else causing interference with the signal. some babyphones or wireless cam systems tend to screw up the signal.

Thx for the tip. I've seen sub-par batteries do strange things with electronics before, but might not have thought to try replacing the provided generics, had you not posted. You are right about random bluetooth signals doing things, as eventually, even after I had pulled the bad batts, I did see oddbal behavior - but nothing like when that remote was powered up. I'm going to try your suggestions. Thx

gta v , the last of us etc looks good on normal mode... game mode off..but the god damn latency kills me..thats why i ask. it depends on the game..try to play red dead redemption without game mode..and the latency its terrible..the same with gta v. thats why i ask if the input lag its reduced by the evo kit or not.

i have no problem with gta v though..  but to answer your question.. its not. due to the fact the evokit works together with the tv's mainboard and its hdmi interface which is causing the delay of minimum 20ms as well as the screen itself which has 12ms-18ms delay depending on screentype.

I have the same problem on my 3rd kit. Replaced kits twice because of a picture problem that turned out to be my UN60ES8000 motherboard. First two kits had no Bluetooth problem. Still waiting for Samsung to fix this issue.

yes change the batteries. after not too long time having the controller do weird stuff it's gonna display a window on the tv telling the batteries are allmost empty eventually.

I already changed the batteries a few days ago as like u said i got a little box on tv telling me the batteries were nearly dead and then a couple of days after changing the batteries my bluetooth started acting up again...

did you reprogram the thing after ?  i.e. pressing the connect button on it and do setup again ? i had no trouble after doing this steps.

I didn't reprogram it i just pushed the connect/pair button on back of controller and controller connects too tv but after a couple of hours of not using controller it won't work unless i turn tv off then on again...

Well it's not just the remote having problems. It's also my Samsung Bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard works fine with TV if I remove the kit. The menu items related to Bluetooth go gray when it drops out too.

Same as with mine too, so i tried without evo kit too but the bluetooth will drop out/turn off after couple of hours aswell without the kit too and like u said the options too add new device mouse/keyboard will be greyed out too...

Looks like the new Evolution kit will be pretty much like the current edition was, but without the new Smart TV interface. Lots of emphasis on voice and gesture control - along with a new remote (again?) If you haven't gotten the kit yet then you might want to wait for the new one, but so far I don't see any compelling features -- but we shall see!!

Here's a peek at the 2014 remote. Pebble shaped and includes motion controls like LG's magic remote

Cnet's article about the new remote: Smaller and actually includes DVR controls

http://ces.cnet.com/8301-35303_1-57616556/samsung-smart-control-features-gestures-more-buttons/?part=rss&tag=feed&subj=

I see no reason why a new hub/remote upgrade would not be a part of the new evolution kit. Without that what else would there really be to offer? New features would be nice but the 2013 kit was all about the new hub so I'm expecting the same here: A new Smart Hub/ quad core/ & the new remote. And perhaps a new gimmicky feature or two if we're lucky
post #1342 of 1474

yug,, i don't like the new remote design.. the 2013 one is more sophisticated and it has a powerbutton for the settop which i use for my amp. the 2013 looks different then mine also

I want upgraded Motion Judder Canceler with better frame interpolation and less artifacts and also a better 3D algorithm with less crosstalk/ ghosting. Couldn't care less about an upgraded Smart Hub (totally happy with what I have already in the F8500).

That would be a shame. Was a big part of why I bought the F8500 over the VT60.

All they mentioned at CES was the future evolution kits for their 4K tv's they will be releasing. But if they don't support their recent tv's with them (as they said they would) they will have a lot of unhappy customers
