No. Have you tried using the sound customizer?
I don't use the built in tuner but I'll have to play around. My ps4 volume is loud at 30 ish but some of the apps I can turn all the way up to 100 for it to be loud as the 30 on the ps4. I'll have to check the customer sound settings but I shouldn't have to change those to get proper volume

I don't often use the built in tuner either. Customizing the sound made a huge difference for me in watching content from the tivo as well as for netflix either through the tivo or through the smart hub. In my case the voices tended to get lost among the other sounds and I would have to dial up the sound in order to hear what was being spoken. That problem vanished for me after going through the sound customizer process.

Anybody have any news on when the 2014 Evo Kit is gonna be released? Prices have been dropping on the 2013 kit, but if the new one is coming out soon I may have to wait it out. I haven't seen much info on the new kit either.
Max volume in Netflix and it's not even that loud. Do they even test there products or is mine defective

Anybody had or herd of anybody have trouble with there evo kit turning the tv off then straight back on again about every 2 hours but without evo kit attached it's fine and doesn't do it...

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the 2013 Evo Kit. The prices are dropping pretty fast. What do you guys think? Wait for the 2014 kit or just pull the trigger now. The new remote would be pointless because I use a Harmony. I don't use the voice or gesture commands. Anyone have any insight on new features of the 2014 kit that would make it worth the wait?

yeah i wonder too what the changes will be in going from 2013 kit to 2014 kit.. ima get it anyways coz i have allready a buyer for my 2013 kit. but i like to know.. from the stuff in the media about the 2014 kit it seems it got only voice and gesture upgrade which isn't really working on 2013 kit, it messes up all the time and it doesn't look up network connected devices sometimes. it also crashes on mediahub sometimes as i have a 1200 movies and 6500 music cd collection attached via network from pc and the tv seems to have trouble with that large amount. this was fixed in 1006 fw upgrade but it would still crash on certain weird characters in the filename. putting new batteries in the remote fixed the continues lost of connection to the tv but it didnt solve the voice control not working correctly and crashing all the time. gesture works fine now with the latest 1007 fw upgrade.

also last days i find my tv restarting like every 5 minutes or so and it got annoying as hell. it starts up then the smarthub crashes and this would turn off the tv and on again. also it wouldn't go off unless pulled plug from mains. it turned out to be skype that was messing up due to a too large history in skype. somehow this crap isn't really tested with huge databases and historyfiles, after a year i have multiple phones and tablets and 3 pc's hooked up to the tv through network and the more i add the more it screws up the tv.. it was easily fixed by deleting the skype app and reinstall it again after tv reboot. it seems flacky network connection with certain asus and d-link routers also messes up a lot which makes me think that there's something bugging with the upnp stack.

The European Evolution Kit got a firmware update today (v1009.4) and Smart Hub version is 5.274 now. I have my Smart Hub set to US and there is a new Netflix update available now, it's the new v4.005 with new UI, but it does not load. I get a black screen for a second and then it crashes back to TV source. I have seen posts about the same issue on many F series TV's on different forums. Netflix has even posted the issue on their support pages but there is no information on how to fix it.

My question is, is the new Netflix v4.005 available for US Evolution Kit and does it work?

mm thats about time they make a firmware update.. my es8000 crashes a lot on smarthub content and some apps like plex and skype that use some background tasks tend to stuck on loading screen a lot of times. the voice recognition is also crap most of the time as it uses the internet connection to do that stuff. it got worse since i updated my routers firmware, so this might cause this too. i also get with samsung link that it all of a sudden says that i made my account in another region and so i cant login to it and need make a new account. restarting the samsung link and it works and does login with the same account. samsung is messing up a lot lately mainly coz of their internetconnected services which in turn causes problems on the tv itself.

You seem to think that about the Samsung tvs as well judging by your recent posts in some of the related forum threads. I've had better luck than you with my Samsung tvs and appreciate the improvement in quality I enjoy with the 2013 evolution kit. I'm looking forward to the further boost in memory and cpu with the 2014 evolution kit.

April. Too good to be true, though I believe that's when the 2013 model came out.

Is the 2014 hub much different then the 2013 vers ion
post #1438 of 1475
From what I've read the only difference is the social panel has been replaced with a gaming panel.

Wow!! I just got a 55f9000 and I can't believe how good the picture is!! Regular cable looks like a 1080p bluray!! And all my old blurays are amazing!! I can't wait for the UHD evo kit so I can  see some 4k content through my gopro and a usb. Yesterday I recorded a video of a game I was playing on the computer upstairs and when I went to watch it it gave me an option on the computer to send to samsung 55!!! I couldn't believe it!! I clicked it and freaked out my wife who was watching the tv in the main floor living room!! If anyone needs a new tv right now I would recommend highly they go with 4k. Don't settle for a 1080p because they are going to be so obsolete very soon.

Very soon? Like 5-10 years maybe . Lol. I'll be ready for a new TV by then.

Do your research. 4k has been out a few years already and has gone nowhere. File sizes are huge. Cable companies wouldn't send out that quality for probably a decade or more. Heck you can barely find 1080p from cable still to this day. So you are limited to a handful of blurays, some downloadable content and almost no players capable yet. I just bought a new 65f8000, I looked at 4k and thought the picture was great, but found it to not to be worth it quite yet.

So 1080p obsolete soon. Not a chance. Heck they are still selling 720p models.

Congrats on the new TV.
