Sony Bravia MotionFlow help!

Hey guys. I cannot seem to find any options on motionflow on the 42EX440 despite the box plastering the logo everywhere. All I see is CinemaMotion which I beleive is for 24p and some "LED Motion Mode" that only dims my screen.

Can someone help!

Isn't the EX440 a 60hz set? You won't be able to get "MotionFlow" for the Soap Opera Effect nor the setting to just increase motion resolution because of it.

CineMotion and the LED Motion Mode (which is black frame insertion) is all you'll get.

If you want MotionFlow, you'll have to upgrade to a model that is 120hz or better.

Odd, because the website plastered "motionflow XR120" and so does the box. False advertising on sonys part?

XR120 probably obtained just from the LED Motion Mode, but the set is still only 60hz and incapable of doing motion interpolation.

It is kind of false, or maybe deceptive, advertising, yeah.

The 120hz sets usually are advertised as XR240 and the 240hz sets advertised as XR480 and sometimes XR960.

This is odd, I know the set is 60hz and that's fine since my blu rays will run in 24hz (only in cinema mode I think) but I wanted to clear up football games with this XR120, and the motion mode only dims my display and I see zero Soap Opera Effect and I know some Sony sets actually say "motionflow" in the options with a low medium and high setting.

And that's why you don't have the MotionFlow option. Pretty much end of discussion here.

If you feel like you've been taken advantage of, I'd call Sony.

If you wanted the MotionFlow you're looking for, you should have opted for a EX6** or higher.

How do they get away with every retailer, box and their own website showing off this feature?
