So it is. However, it was McKenzie's review of the 46HX853 at the same site I was recalling, and he states it as .0457 cd/m^2, which is about the same as he measured for the F8000, and here at least I have the units straight. If my 46HX850 was the same as his 46HX853, and the F8000 local dims like my 46HX850, I would expect to see the same sort of blooming in the F8000. I'd definitely recommend testing with material known to cause problems with other edge-lit sets that do local dimming.
